Shanghai, Venture, TSX outperformed US markets for a change. Mini-breakouts in a lot of commodities and related stocks. Gold & silver had a great week with silver dramatically outperforming gold – a very positive sign.
US markets look like they are tiring as the SPX approaches last year's peak. Everyone seems to be expecting a correction to arrive soon. Makes sense, considering the conditions - near strong resistance, overbought, bullish sentiment, rising wedge pattern, transports lagging, declining volume, etc.
Whenever it happens, it will be interesting to see if the Canadian markets can play catch up - I think there's a chance we are starting to see a rotation from the overbought US to the lagging Canadian resource markets – fingers crossed....
