Funny you mentioned going back to tech stocks. I was thinking the same thing a couple of months ago when Venture rolled over and Nasdaq just kept rolling along. The whole point to trading stocks is to make money, and if one sector won't co-operate, there's no reason to get bogged down by it.
Judging by recent price action, it appears that the real economy is less dependent on Fed easing, QE3, etc. than the PM sector seems to be. I still think we will get a gold bubble at some point, but we may get an echo tech bubble first.
I plan to give this matter some serious thought over the summer and try to determine which sector will have the better move in the fall.
