Venture is comatose, gold is crippled, gold stocks are in critical condition. Just no getting around it - very few signs of life in that space.

The good news is that platinum & palladium are doing better. Platinum is now above gold (where it should be) and not testing the April low. Palladium is doing fine. Probably means the economy is doing better.

In other news, solar stocks are on fire - I've been playing them for a little while, but I don't know how long it will last. Rees are showing signs of life - they had a very good day last Friday. Taking a flyer on these - been buying this week's pullback. Not sure if it's a good bet, but it just seems to me that money is coming out of gold and looking for a home in more speculative stuff. Perhaps later this year it will translate to the Venture, but I'm not holding my breath.
