Well, I never understood the logic behind getting out of general markets but staying in juniors. In down markets you want cash, or if you absolutely have to own stocks (like many fund managers) you want the lowest beta stocks possible.

The absolute worst stuff you could own in a down market is high beta speculative stocks like junior miners and explorers.
