When the gold bugs were saying that a US gov shutdown or failure to raise the debt ceiling would help gold, they just weren't paying attention. Gold stopped responding to fear and uncertainty a long time ago. Investors have simply lost interest in the metal and the stocks. That won't last forever, but it's not a good place to be right now.

I still have NGD, but it's a small position. As for other stuff, I sold most of my high flyers but am keeping some of my low flyers for now - including ABIO DVAX & CTIC.
