Vancouver, BC (FSCwire) - Strike Diamond Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SRK)("Strike Diamond" or “the Corporation”) is pleased to report that it has quadrupled its mineral tenure position in the Garland exploration district in Labrador, with new tenure adding a further 10,000 acres of holdings in the area. As a result, Strike Diamond now controls a Garland tenure position exceeding 13,400 acres. The new ground is contiguous with both Equitas Resources Corp. and Athabasca Nuclear Corp., two other prominent exploration companies in the area.
“Strike Diamond has achieved its’ near-term objective of becoming a major tenure participant in the Garland exploration camp. In addition to the specific Garland projects we previously announced, this large tenure block provides us important scale to explore for new nickel-cobalt-PGM targets in a setting that is located less than 25km from the producing Voisey’s Bay mine. In addition, we have successfully captured strategic tenure that is adjacent to Equitas Resources’ Garland project where they are currently drilling and recently staked more ground,” stated Ryan Kalt, Chairman and CEO of Strike Diamond.
New Garland Camp Tenure
The newly acquired mineral tenure consists of five new tenure claims, 023464M, 023465M, 023466M, 023467M, and 023468M, comprising a combined total of 165 claim parcels representing approximately 10,065 acres.
