Dufferin Mine - Ressources Appalaches

...............RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC, Nov 23, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

Ressources Appalaches (TSX VENTURE: APP) is pleased to announce the start of drilling operations on the Dufferin property in Nova Scotia. Over the next month, Appalaches will carry out a campaign of drilling totalling 2,000 metres. The objective of the drilling program is resource definition.

The drillholes will mainly be concentrated in the eastern portion of the deposit, to explore two new veins located within 50 metres of the surface, as well as the five other Saddle-Reef type veins, to a maximum depth of 200 metres. A few additional holes are planned, to explore as many as ten veins to a depth of about 300 metres.

Verification of the gold-bearing structure extensions

The drilling campaign performed in 2008 confirmed the extent, the continuity and the grade of the deposit's gold-bearing structures. Among the best drilling results, sampling of a quartz vein and its wall rocks in drill hole F08-07 gave 31.64 g/t Au over 4 meters including 125.5 g/t Au over one meter. Presently, 15 Saddle-type veins have been identified on the deposit. The mineralized zone extends over a length of 900 meters and to a depth of nearly 400 meters including previous work (press release dated 5/02/09).
