It is true that you can take the low or high of the trading day once the market has closed.

But I don't really understand why anyone would NOT take the LOW. If you take the low, you can transfer more shares.

At 0.225 (the closing price) you get 22 222 shares for your $5000 limit.

But at 0.215 (the low for the day) you would get to transfer 23 255 shares.

Why not take the extra 1033 shares into your TFSA?

(Or equally, if someone has less than $5000 worth of SKP to transfer, take the lower price and leave more contribution room for something else).

I don't see why anyone would ever take any price but the lowest when determining the transfer price. This will also save a few pennies in taxes, since the capital gain triggered by the transfer will also be a little less too if the deemed selling price is lower.

Can you give me the other side, because I can't see it.
