CALGARY,Nov. 29, 2011/CNW/ - StrikePoint Gold (TSXV:SKP.V-News) (OTCQX:STKXF.PK-News) announces the results of an 8 hole reconnaissance diamond drill program on the Angelina property that was carried out in September and October. A total of eight drill holes were completed from two set-ups about 80 m apart on the Halfway Lake area for a total of 595 m.
The targets were two gold-bearing quartz veins and shear zones characterized by high grade surface grab samples described in our press release ofJune 23, 2011
The drill program intercepted a gold system but did not encounter any economic concentrations. Of the 452 core samples submitted for analysis, 11 samples reported more than 100 ppb Au, the highest of which is 2960 ppb Au (2.96 g/t). The highest grade encountered was 3.17 g/t in a metallic screen analysis. The following tables summarize the more significant drill core sample laboratory results.

In light of the anomalous gold values intersected in the core, additional work is warranted to determine the full potential of the quartz vein structure at the Halfway Lake area. All sequences are folded in a Z-shaped structure along an axis that strikes northwest with an apparent dextral offset. Gold and silver mineralization is associated with quartz veins that contain pyrite and chalcopyrite in structures that strike southeast, south-southwest and southwest and dip steeply to the east. The veins are 2-10 m in width and are located at the contact between the magnetic gabbro to the east and the andesite and chert-siltstone to the west.
Due to the close association between disseminated sulphides and the gold, and because of its link with the quartz veining an IP and resistivity survey is being planned to determine the depth and length of the shear zone that is associated with the mineralization. This survey is scheduled to be carried out in January, 2012.

All sample analytical results contained in this press release, including standard and quality control samples were analyzed for gold by fire assay and/or multi-element ICP-MS analysis, as appropriate, by TSL Laboratories Inc, Saskatoon, SK.
