Why I am heavily invested in TTM?

posted on Jul 30, 2008 07:02PM

By no means is this list complete but it gives some brief points as to why I have been invested in TTM for over a year and have no intention of selling these shares for along time!

The Chu deposit:

  • 655 million lbs of moly, both inferred and indicated (as per 43-101 report)
  • The Chu starter pits deposit measures 1.7 km’s in length, over 700 meters in depth, and 300 meters wide and open in all directions
  • Drilling only to 500 meters with most cores ending in strong mineralization suggests considerably more moly at depth.
  • Over 20 billion dollars worth of moly already with more to come.
  • The 2 high grade starter pits provide for a short mine payback period.
  • Two other targets may hold more moly than our current deposit.
  • Assay results so far suggest a low stripping ratio.
  • Currently there are 3 drills operating on the Chu property at the present time. There could be a fourth one added at some point.

Management:

  • Crichy Clarke,(President and CE0) very smart, competent and results driven individual totally committed to take this project all the way. Once had over 3% of the Royal Banks assets under his control, allot of it was Petro-Can. Great leader also a good listener. Unbelievably accessible to the general public. Just a note, we started drilling on the Chu only about 18 months ago! To be this far advanced is amazing.
  • Tom Brady, (IR), also Crichy's right hand man. Very approachable and honest individual. Always willing to answer questions.
  • The Board of Directors, Hand picked by Crichy most are recognized as some of the very best in their fields. (a must see open the link below).
  • Personally I have complete confidence in their decision making.

Location and infrastructure:

  • No geopolitical concerns as the Chu is in BC, Canada
  • BC government offers a 30% tax credit for exploration
  • Close to existing infrastructure, roads, hydro, etc
  • Only 75 kms from TCM's endako roaster.
  • Pine beetle infested zone (not environmentally sensitive).
  • Recent land purchases to ensure tailings ponds will not interfere with existing tributaries.

Company Financial Matters:

  • Company is well funded to complete Phase's 1 & 2 of their drilling program.
  • Low float only 50 million issued and outstanding shares, 62 million fully diluted.
  • Shares very tightly held by management as well as very few individual investors.
  • Shareholder protection plan in place

News/events yet to take place:

· Pre-feasibility study

· Net present value, (could be released in conjunction with pre-feas).

· Metallurgy report

· Baseline water study.

· Updated resource estimate

· Assay report on cores from our new targets.

Miscellaneous reasons:

  • Top 10 ranked mining company on the TSX-V. Ranked number 4, (if you take out the companies in the "ring of fire" we would therefore be number 1.
  • TCM’s Davidson deposit in Smithers still in doubt.
  • TCM publicly announced plans to purchase a moly property
  • Canaccord 9 million dollar PP, priced at $1.50 with warrants @ $1.75, (Can’t see Canaccord not taking this stock to at least $1.50?)
  • Strongly supported by Eric Sprott
  • Sprott moly fund “top 10” holding
  • Sprott moly fund publicly announced they are looking to purchase a large moly deposit
  • Demand and price of moly should remain strong for the foreseeable future.
  • Very good meetings and relationship with First Nations
  • Excellent relationship with the City and City council of Vanderhoof. We have been great corporate citizens as Crichy insists we spend our money locally whenever we can.
  • Well connected with all levels of government which helps with getting a project of this size into production.
  • Meetings with BC hydro to come up with solutions to provide energy to the area and ways for us to trim costs.
  • Have institutions interested in financing this project if needed, (if we go it alone)
  • Talks to fast-track this project so TTM can be a major employer in the area as soon as possible, to try and alleviate the loss of jobs and revenue to the area which is hurting do to the collapse of the forest industry.
  • Interest in our company is growing. Management has mentioned to these companies/financial institutions to wait until the pre-feasibility report comes out before any formal talks should begin.
  • Some of these parties are interested in a buyout or JV.
  • Probably the number 1 reason to stay invested in TTM is of course the potential for a BUYOUT! If the price is right. Otherwise we carry on. Unless an offer “to good to refuse” comes in then perhaps JV is the better bet for shareholder value, the only downside is we have to wait a little longer.

I am sure after I send this I will most likely come up with a few more reasons why I bought TTM in the first place and have continued to add to my holdings. I also believe that some without a doubt find this downturn in our SP as a blessing, I have.

I am not going to come back and debate this post with anyone! This report is a result of my DD. Please make your own phone calls and check out the website as a lot of this information is readily available. I honestly hope that sharing my thoughts will help some make the right decision.
