TARANIS RESOURCES INC. ANNOUNCES PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Taranis Resources Inc. has arranged, subject to regulatory acceptance, a $100,000 working capital private placement with certain of its directors, as well as with Royal Gold Inc., of Denver, Colo., a leading precious metals royalty company and a major shareholder in Taranis (holding in excess of 5 per cent of its issued capital).

The private placement will consist of the sale of 500,000 units at a price of 20 cents per unit, each unit to consist of one common share and one share purchase warrant, with each warrant to entitle the holder to purchase one additional common share at a price of 25 cents for a period of two years from closing.
