While I see the buy-out by GG as very probable (maybe even an eventuality), I don't know if it is a good thing. I, for one, would not like my TRX shares "diluted" into GG shares. The all cash deal that Canplats got (that also includes shares in some new company that represents the merger) is a better option.

I like little companies that have the potential to explode. Having said that, I also am of the mind set to lean toward small producers since I worry that explorers may have trouble raising capital in this environment.

So, I personally prefer a company that goes to production but few explorers have the management to make that transition. In this market the GG's of the world will pounce on the ounces. The resources at TRX are too big to ignore.
