You probably noticed a higher volume on Thursday, even though Thermal traded in the last 3 month average of .05 all day.
The surprise was Friday, the hour before the opening bell. The BID and ASK both were for volume of one million shares or more, and instead of .05, you could see $5.00, dropping to $2.00,... eventually ending around .20 with about 7 minutes to the bell. Still .12 a minute or two before open bell.
It opened at .07, going to .105 to close at .065 (day low: .06) Volume? almost 10 million shares.
Some think it's games (or manipulation) others say it coincides with the CEO trip to China (left Friday), at any rate, it was extremely strange behaviour for a TSX-V stock.
With the ease to place Internet orders and change or cancel, it would be relatively easy to artificially steer interest, especially with Level 2 access. Not that it was the case, but the way the B/A behaved before 9:30 does leaves a doubt, doesn't it?
We'll see Monday, what comes out of all this. Will the Company comment?
