I have found the last week to be very tense...perhaps because I have greatly increased my stake in TDC, and am taking a big risk. And as much as I believe in the TDC story, and am committed to the next few years, I have read a few things that gave me pause. We've all talked about the warrants and the drag on investor appetite for risk right now...but let's take stock of where we really are.
We are risk takers who feel they have found the right investment, and generally feel we are on the verge of deliverance. It's like a first date, where you have that wonderful tension, hope, fear and excitement all at once (it's been a long time for me in that regard!). But when you move on to beyond first base, and tell yourself "She's really letting me do this with her - it's wonderful"! Later, you are married to her and lover her dearly, but that delicious tension is probably not that prevalent.
Anyhow, this old article from gold-eagle reallly covers the ground very well on our situation, and helps keep perspective. Great discussion of valuation of junior exploration companies, and the under-valuation phenomenon. And if this was published in Oct 2006, note how accurate they depict the recession and financial crisis now unfolding.
Worth the read....
