I'm not familiar with U.S. brokerages, but I've always been careful about pinksheets because of liquidity. To rephrase the question, what about the German shares? Anyone out there buy them? What are the issues around them? Do they have the same liquidity issues?
Ultimately, if you believe in the company, they will be worth around the same amount. I guess you'd have to wait patiently to get the same amount on pink sheets. I don't know about the German ones at all -they always seem undervalued.
Something to keep in mind, too, is that I lost a lot of profits last year when the U.S. dollar fell. I think the Canadian government will continue to try to peg the Canadian dollar at parity, but I'm not sure they will succeed. We don't have the same economic issues, and I don't think we are printing as much new money (correct me if I am wrong). I'm predicting $1.10 CAD-USD, and hoping I'm right, as too high of a currency will hurt my other investments.
