What's wrong with you, Applepie? Why not drill a bit deeper into the salient points -and be rewarded. You wrote:
"Blacky2: Yes, you are right. And what is indicated on the website is consistent with what Dave Webb said in the interview with JP. Tyhee has 1.2 million ouces of gold in the measured and indicated category and 350,000 ounces in the inferred category. What is the matter with you guys? "
Well, here's the point in more careful language for you...
Take a second look at the two statements on the tyhee website:
1. The YELLOWKNFIE GOLD PROJECT RESOURCES figures you are making reference to are last June's numbers. This matches the various numbers in the last 43-101 report. total M&I&I is 1.2 M Oz as you say. BUT THIS IS THE OLD NUMBER, NOT YET UPDATED in recent days......
2. The NEW numbers now in the website under the PROJECT DESCRIPTION REPORT button to the left, a few below the RESOURCE button, are new nubers:
"Gold Resource
A gold resource has been established at the Yellowknife Gold Project containing 16 million tonnes (measured and indicated) grading 3.60 grams per tonne gold containing 1,826,000 ounces of gold at a cut-off of 1 gram per tonne. An additional 3.2 million tonnes are inferred, grading 3.37 grams per tonne gold containing 343,000 ounces of gold (Table 1)."
Then it goes on to lay out a larger GLOBAL RESOURCE resource at 0.5 g/t cut-off.
THIS IS THE START OF Dr. Webb's new investor relations / PA campaign. He has been so conservative and carfeul to prove it all on the end of the drill bit, and not willing to make life easy for investors by giving outside people who don't take the time to study the entire package with the more fluffy numbers showing the unfolding potential of this package based on a lower cutoff. He has been shy to risk inflating his numbers. However, perhaps taking a cue from Barrick gold's acquisition of the remainder of Arisona Star at $18 / share, we see that the new standards are not 1g/t, but more like 0.5 g/t.
Maybe this is why Dave went on to show that at 0.5 g/t cutoff, we have M&I&I of over 3 million ounces. That should get some attention.
From the website under GLOBAL resourece: "At an arbitrary 0.5 gpt cut-off, the Ormsby Zone and West Zone contain an undiluted measured and indicated 26,995,000 tonnes grading 2.30 gpt gold for 1,824,000 ounces of gold. An additional 18,146,000 tonnes grading 2.30 gpt gold for 1,341,000 ounces of gold are inferred. At an arbitrary 1.0 gpt cut-off the measured and indicated gold resource is 15,069,000 tonnes grading 3.65 gpt gold for 1,556,000 ounces of gold. An additional 9,817,000 tonnes grading 3.65 gpt gold containing 1,153,000 ounces of gold are inferred. "
There are conflicting numbers here, as they keep adding in new drill results and are in my assessment days away from releasing the new resource. It now says 3.1 Million Oz based on 0.5 g/t and 2.6 based on 1g/t cutoff.
Note, in Barrick Gold's proposed $2.4 billion Pascua-Lama mine in Argentina, facing access, logistical, two-country permitting and other challenges, they are using 0.4 g/t!

Look yourself, under 1.19.4 Mineral reserves
"Gold economic cutoff grades range from 0.52 to 0.70"
and then in section 1.19.5 they calculate their total (global) Mineral resources based on 0.40 g/t resulting in 4.9 million ounces M&I, and 3.4 million ounces Inferred, for about 8 million ounces.
So if you see people sit up and take notice once these more sexy numbers hit the street, then ask, what's wrong with us guys?
Nothing! But perhaps Dave should get one of his team to strip out the out-dated numbers soon, to reduce confusion.
