Baires, you brought up Bill Belovay.
I really don't trust him as an analyst, because he often trots out generalizations without doing due diligence on companies. I'm sure he does research the ones he invests in, but with all the others...not. I would trust him a lot more if he would just admit what he doesn't know. Every time he's on, he says something that is unreliable. This time it is what he said about Noront. If he could substantiate what he said, it would be one thing. But I have the feeling that he looked at the company once last August, formed an opinion, and hasn't done any due diligence since. The generalization about it just being a nickel play really capped it. Noront has richer pgm's than most of the pure play South African companies, and they've been consistently driliing to prove it all winter.
Speaking of due diligence, I admit I haven't done any on Miramar in almost a year. But since someone brought up a comparison between it and TDC, and the fact that it wasn't interested in the Yellowknife belt, I'll take a shot. I don't believe Miramar is a greenfields exploration company. If memory serves me correctly, they didn't discover Hope Bay. They just bought it and updated the NI 43-101 resources, in a "Seabridge" holding company fashion. I think Miramar and TDC are intirely different types of beasts. Miramar shareholders out there, correct me if I'm wrong...
I do like what he said about gold, but once again, he was just repeating the generalization that is out on the street.
