For a second there. I though you had completely caught me out to lunch.
According to the most recent NI 43-101 report at Sedar (I have a hard time pasting from adobe reader to this site):
-Miramar bought the property from BHP minerals Canada in 1999.
-Most of the deposit delineation and exploration was carried out by BHP Billiton between 1991 and 1998.
From a takeover point of view, it's fair enough to make an apples-to-apples comparison between the two, if you figure in the fact that logistics at Hope Bay are not as good. And it certainly is true to compare them on the district scale. Maybe Web was trying to get some luck and interest to rub off on Tyhee.
But the question is, why didn't Miramar develop the Yellowknife gold belt when they were already in it? I believe the answer is that Miramar was not interested in greenfields exploration. I stand by what I said. They are more of a Seabridge than a Tyhee.
