Bullion Coins

Hi All,

Sorry about the off-topic question, but I value your opinions.

I am looking to buy some coins for rougher days ahead, and I have a few questions.

1 Gold or Silver or Both?

I feel that silver would be handier for bartering.

2 Junk Silver or New Coins?

Here, I am siding with Canadian Maples, even though there is a premium. They will be new and noone will question what they are worth, and I am also worried about getting ripped off buying a bag of junk silver.

3. Will It Come to Bartering with Coins?

With all the manipulation going on in the markets, I find it hard to believe that "they" will not find a way to also prevent widespread use of bullion for bartering. If things get really bad, who is going to accept my silver and gold? Is this alternative so often turned to because there is simply nothing better?

Thanks, as always, for any info.
