I just listened to what Morgan actually said on the first hour of FSN today, Minute 55:46. He said that merchants prefer to not want to take credit cards, but instead prefer cash.

Since I rarely use credit cards here in Buenos Aires, and since there's a 3 to 5 % charge added on my MasterCard purchases here, I pay with cash. BUT, IT IS VERY COMMON FOR THE LOCALS TO PAY USING THEIR CREDIT CARDS, and for the tiniest purchases too.

So again, Morgan's experience is quite different from mine. And I live here.
