Harmless, are you up in the Yukon? Not quite winter yet. Still time to do some moose hunting. Time to fill the freezer again. Rabbits should be good the next couple of weeks, too.
I think RAB special Situations may be unwinding quietly right now, given the fact that a number of my stocks that they are also in came down dramatically in the last few sessions. I also think that in addition to Osprey, which we already know about, and Sprott, which we know is down over 40% and may be forced to sell some assets, there are a lot of funds that have become illiquid and are being forced to sell shares at the worst possible time because their investors are pulling the plug. Think about it -if you knew very little about finances (as a lot of mutual fund holders do), and you found out that you were down 40%, wouldn't you be tempted to pull it out before it turned into nothing?
These large specialty funds dominate the juniors market, are very volatile, and are in trouble right now. Unfortunately they are dominating the market in the wrong, and even in the illogical, direction. But if their unitholders are bailing, then they have to sell assets to remain solvent.
