I wasn't posting this in response to any debate. I love debates and controvertial topics that make me think outside the box. That is how I got here... otherwise, I would have just followed the mainstream advice of averaging into an S&P 500 401(k) fund for the next 20 years just to break even!

Keep them coming. Every once in a while I like to step back, though, and look from the 10,000-foot viewpoint, because all the daily market gyrations can frankly be overwhelming if you don't.
