Do PM producers have to sell their metal on the exchange? I mean, wouldn't it make sense for them to start punching out ounce rounds on site and flogging them direct to the public in a mail order operation?
I'd be fairly pissed if I was a silver producer getting $10.50 an ounce for my product when I could set up a shop on Ebay and get double. I think it about some of these guys got together and said enough is enough. They should be supplying the bullion dealers direct.
