There's a stock contest going on run by Financial Post. You get 100,000 of fake money to buy and another 100,000 in margin. I didn't know about the contest, which has been going on since September, so I just joined and made my picks today.

Ironically, because I haven't played till today, I am essentially at Zero and haven't lost any money. As such, I'm ranked 2000 out of 15000 participants :)

Some really cool prizes. I think 1st place might be taken. There's some whipper on there who is over 800,000, which is almost 3 times the next place. This guy avgs 50 trades per day.

None the less, it's quite concievable that between now and the contest end, in Jan, anyone joining now could make the top ten.
