platinum i can understand because its an industrial metal with more supply / demand fundamentals and i don't think prone to insane shorting on the exchanges (i could be wrong).

aside from my own selfish needs, i just think that if i'm running a large corporation mining a product which i know has real fundamental demand but i'm losing out on profits because of a rigged market, i would be pretty pissed.

i'm out there with my boots and my drills and protesters shooting at me and i'm taking all this risk. for what? so some jerk-offs on t.v. can tell me i'm stupid for mining it? and there's really no need so i should just leave it in the ground?

i say the miners 1) scale back production and then 2) start paying out a dividend...in little 1/10 oz coins.
