Con Mine, Homestead... man. It doesn't matter. This time round is not comparable to the depression. There will be a few similarities. There will be some similarities to other times as well but what worked in the 30's will not work today.

What I'd like to know is how many gold mines made it and how many didn't. Were there 2000 juniors back then? How many were there? How many became producers at that time. How many went tits up.

The comparison of Con and Homestead are comparisons to a deflationary time but almost every gold bug out there is saying this will be a time of hyperinflation. Most of them predicted this would come sooner than later. Now they're shoving off their predictions to 4 or 5 years. So what will we get 4 years of deflation followed by hyperinflation? I'm not investing on a five year plan! That's ridiculous. Yes, if you hold anything long enough it'll come around.
