no offense to diabullic (whose comments i find more insightful than most), but i really wish we would stop blaming everything on manipulators and suppression schemes. i'm not saying it can't happen, but it should be the absolute last explanation, not the default explanation. because if its your first reaction, it clouds objective analysis.

today, i find out its not true. so i, along with everybody else who bought on the original news, dump my gold.

this seems like a perfectly rational reason to me. no conspiracy theories needed.
