Not saying the Amero couldn't happen. But the way things are right now, it would only be a replacement for the U.S. dollar. The rest is the fantasy of Americans.

(No intent to offend) What could possibly be in it for us (Canadians) at this stage? I'm at a loss to figure that out. Maybe when the unwinding of cross boarder trade has dragged us down enough, and the U.S. has some kind of sound fiscal policy. That's got to be several years away.

One thing many Canadians found very perplexing about New Orleans was the images of everyone running out pointing guns at each other instead of helping. Who knows? Maybe the belief in the need for guns will create a real need.
