I really wouldn't consider platinum or palladium as screaming buys here though as they are dependent on the auto industry and we know where that's headed; no credit, huge supply and everyone that wants one already owning a fairly new car.

I wonder (I have no idea) if the cars made for China, India, etc. use catalytic converters. Are they mandatory world-wide?

Not saying you posted that with referene to buying it. I recognize it is an interesting oddity considering our past history with metals.

The screaming buys are gold, silver, oil, nat gas, and agriculture IMO.
