I really hope this doesnt happen , any cascade like this would imply (I think) that one should only have gold coins and not shares, without being funny having gold shares in a mine outside Berlin in 1944 would not have been much of a hedge.
I'm hoping for more of a "Zombifacation" of the financial system , in reality its bankrupt but just keeps going. If I remember my history correctly the South Sea company was insolvent for years before it ceased trading, I dont know if the comparrison holds in the digital age
