Same thing happened to me in some silver stocks this week. Sold Friday, bought too early Monday, not wanting to miss the possible rise. Instead, I found my head caught in a vise, my brains squeezed through my nose since I used unsettled funds for the trade. This put me under the thumb of Federal Reserve Regulation T, which means I was unable to set an immediate stop loss.
Bam! Caught down over 10% before the funds settle. Now I have to wait for the bull market to bail me out, which usually works out in the gold/silver stocks, but still isn't especially bright.
