You could be right , It maybe a case of expectations of his clients, However if his macro picture is wrong , which is what Mish is saying then his clients may never recover, It maybe too early to say if 08 was a blip in the Hyperinflation/get out of the dollar but sometime soon someone has to admit they were wrong on the “decoupling” story which was a big theme for Peter. To be fair to Schiff he did short subprime in 06/07 but other then that he didn’t take advantage of his view that the US equity and commercial bonds would collapse. Time will tell and I guess his gold positions should help to turn his clients portfolios around even if he is proved wrong elsewhere
