Message: Cash $2.7 million

Hi all, I had a reply from Dave Webb today about my query on the apparently rapid burn rate of cash to $2.7 million on the PDAC presentation versus $5.2 million in Baires' posting on the Reasons for Investing in Tyhee.

(MistyRiver, click on the New Tyhee Investor in the President's D.D. box to the right of the forum message box for the PDAC presentation).

I was only just able to get on my computer, sorry for the delay, Dave was quick to reply and helpful.

There is nothing wrong with the numbers and you are right, MistyRiver, all the information is clearly laid out in the required financial statements for 2008 and the Q3 2008 at sedar.com - which Dave also pointed out. At the end of August '08 - as would have been reported in November '08 - the cash and cash equivalents were $4,633,871. Not included in this figure are amounts receivable ($182,109), inventory (303,849), and prepaid expenses and advances ($77,505) which when added give a cash amount of $5,197,424 as of August 31st 2008.

Operating costs have varied between $150k to $200k per month, as MistyRiver noted, but Dave said there were additional drill program costs to pay in September and October which increased the costs for those months.

Dave notes the cash out of pocket expenses per month for each of the past two years were $83k if inventories and receivables are included, or $65k per month excluding these items.

Cash available at the end of 2008 totalled $3,017,336. This included cash and cash equivalents @ $2,669,436, amounts receivable @ $42,037, inventory @ $263,010, and prepaid expenses and advances @ $42,853.

This cash level ($3,017,336) is obviously reduced by the expenses of the past 3 months to the end of March, which are difficult to estimate from the information given.

I have followed up with Dave asking about the current burn rate on cash.

My original question was answered, it looks like we have cash for about 2-3 years depending on how long care and maintenance continues, the costs of permitting, cost of assaying past drill cores, and whatever new drilling is undertaken.

Thanks to Baires for asking me to follow up and best regards to all ... Isaiah
