In the Fall of '07 when TDC hit 82 cents, the HUI hadn't even risen above 450 ( HUI is now about 325). Gold, then, was around $760 (now gold is $928).
Interestingly, after TDC hit 82cents it began descending toward its infamous lows. But, even as its share price was dropping, in March 2008, the price of gold rose substantially higher to its record high ($1,036) with the HUI climbing to over 500.
So, maybe as Strike sees it (gold above $1,200 or so) or like I see it (HUI at 550/600), we are seeing it much the same way.
HUI and gold may well run up in tandem. And, gosh, if only history could repeat, where like in 2007, Tyhee would skyrocket even before this next big run up in gold and the HUI.
