I put it to all of you that there is a chance that DW will recieve a call from Viking gold, indicating that they are out of cash and will lapse their claims.
Given that they hold a large claim connecting the north end of Tyhee's VAD zone of the Goodwin Lake property to the south end of the Ormsby Zone, and comprising a large area that would fit into the Tyhee strategy, I would imagine that for the righ price Tyhee would acquire these.
Refer to Vikings slide 2 of 2 at:http://www.vikinggold.ca/pdf/pr_apr_...
Take a look at how their claim sits, on page 13 of 80 in the NI43-101 report.
In my imagination, a small bit of cash and/or some Tyhee shares would be better than Viking losing everything.
Alternatively, if Viking is as distressed as I believe that they are, they may have their carcass picked over by another player. This could be beneficial for Tyhee shareholders, with some new interest in the area, however I would much rather see Tyhee acquire this valuable set of claims and close those links in the chain from Ormsby to Goodwin lake.
I would not buy Viking shares at 4cents, however I would at 2cents. I think their market "picocap" is 1.6 million, however there is zero liquidity, so I think their value is substantially less than the 3 million or so that their Sept filings seem to indicate. I think that it would cost Tyhee about $250,000 in cash and 1.5 million tyhee shares for a total of $500,000 to take up all that Viking has to offer.
However it could be done, I bet Viking shareholders (mostly insiders, I think) would love to trade 30 million viking shares for the cash equivalent of 3 million Tyhee shares. They could believe that they are still part of something with a lot of potential, and retain their dignitiy.
Any support for this idea? Please VOTE thumbs up if you want to highlight this to DW.
I do believe that this would fit into the corporate strategy of Tyhee, and would immediately add shareholder value and demonstrate confidence, and not very expensively to boot. It also encompasses the road rout for our Clan Lake and Goodwin Lake ore to get to the Ormsby site...
Imagine how things may be this time next year, with a DAR submitted and having moved much further along in ther permit process, near or at the public hearings stage, having acquired a small junior and increased dominance in the Yellowknife gold camp, having added ounces from the resampling of archived cores, having added ounces from new drilling (some, not much, but in strategic locations) at Clan Lake and Goodwin lake, having a Pre Feasability study in hand, and having by this time next year, nearly 3 million ounces M&I&I... what will the share price be?
