(PRESS PROFILE TAB FOR FACT SHEET & UPDATES)
I've got a couple of good points for this week.
1. DW bought shares for the third time in two weeks when, on 30 APril, he picked up another 15,000 at 0.13. SO since 21 April he has bought 100,000 more shares. As we know, he holds shares with his consulting company and his family also buys and holds tyhee.
2. I have asked DW about Viking gold. In his response, Dave talked about how well he knows every known gold showing in the region (in his 30years working in the area), and that Tyhee has by in large all of the more prospective claims. He explains that while it would be nice to have contigous claims all the way through (such as for a road from Goodwin to Ormsby) you don't need the mineral claims to be able to build a road. He also points out that along with the Viking assests there are certain other commitments/agreements and things associtated that would go along with a Viking acquisition - which one had to study carefully through their SEDAR filings (and that there is more than 1 "viking" so be careful what you are reading). But what I found most telling in DW's response is his respect for Mr. Ginn as an great geolgogist and a gentleman. DW commented that Tyhee cooperates with Viking, lets their personnel bunk in the Tyhee camp when they need to, and releases their drill rigs to Viking.
In my view, that he speaks so respectfully and is supportive of this very small enterprise is an example of how DW conducts himself in general. A good local member of the community, of the local exploration community etc. He treats people well, and this must be reflected in Tyhee being seen as a "good" operation.
This also means to me that if Mr. Ginn ever is in desperate straits, that the lines of communication are well established and open.
Clearly, if Viking fails and their claims lapse, Tyhee will know which of them would be worth re-staking or taking up if the opportunity arises.
3. My final discussion point is to consider where we are at this date and time. The AGM wraps up on 7 May, and the private placement closes soon after that. Once it is known if it was fully / over subscribed, it may not take long for Tyhee to get a drill rig going on Clan Lake or Goodwin Lake. So we may see a press release around mid May regarding resuming exploration on surface and drilling, as well as the engineering consultations / contracts let in support of the DAR and the PF. Other than that, I expect it to be quiet on the Tyhee front for May. Unless we see some excitement in the POG next week or two, we may see continued softness in the share price.
We have weathered a rough storm these last 6 months, and now there is wind in our sails and we are moving aling in the right direction.
As for sailing and ships, I'm going off radar for 11 days, including an 8 day hike along the West Coast Trail, "the graveyard of the Pacific", where a great number of ships have met their demise and crashed or floundered along the shores. Survivors often succumbed to the impenetrable rainforest, so a life-saving trail was blazed to facilitate rescues. Now it's an internatioanl hiking destination. But I won't be able to check on my gold interests. So I'll be off the forum for two weeks. I'm certain to be reflecting on how things are going with my investment/retirement plan, but nobody but the cougars and birds to share my thoughts with! Should be a nice change.
