"Sell in May and go away."

While this is generally applied to the Dow or SPX it has been applied to gold to as it is seasonal along the same trend.

HOWEVER ! Some people knowledgable in gold and its shares see this as the "hope" gone bad for those who are short and desiring to cover.

A funny thing happened on the way to closing out their positions; the gold price did not fall and the gold share price generally increased. You will note that in May 2005 Frank Barberra succesfully called them bottom at an out of season time and the subsequent run went from there to May of 2006 with the usual starts and stops, ups and downs, common to any market. If this is where we are now it would be insanity to lose your position.

Do not let the negativism of those with an agenda affect you now.
