This is less true for us using Canadian currency. Gold was much higher this spring. The rising CDN dollar VS the falling USD has left gold fairly flat for months with the recent rise above $1000 is USD barely a sigh in CDN. One could say that gold hasn't risen at all, but that the USD has fallen. That said, gold is a global currency and the long term trend is still for gold to rise and paper currencies to fall. Eventually gold will rise in CDN terms.
