Baires,
1) I recall your negative spin on the renaming issue was once an energetic agreement. What changed your mind?
2) I think your horse analogy is in bad taste and against the very purpose of this forum - to pursue reconciliation of civil disagreement through open discussion. I do not appreciate my thoughts being dismissed without that open discussion. The decision to bring up something at the AGM should be based on its popularity amongst shareholders. As I recall, my first pass on putting "gold" or "mining" in the name had broad support on this board - including yours.
3) I have stated repeatedly that I have absolutely the highest - that's HIGHEST, not only "high" - regard for Dr. Webb the geologist and company leader. The fact that I disagree strongly with him on one aspect of company marketing does not diminish my respect for his stewardship. But sometimes respectfully challenging a principle is advisable - Colin Powell wishes he did regarding guarantying the existence of WMDs in Iraq.
4) I'll bet that even yourself wishes the name expresses the business we are in, despite your sudden change of heart.
