Once again we are bemoaning the fact that TDC has flat-lined the past while. It should be a very small portion of your portfolio due to it's speculative nature as are all mining stocks to some degree. Choose your level of commitment and hold if you are a believer. A portfolio should hold short and long-term holds. We all have our favourites which we trade for a boost to the bottom line. I like SVM and SLW which have delivered 100% since July 2009 with a trade or two. These are short-term, make your money and set-up for the next move. TDC and others that are not yet discovered or have been thrown away by the crowd are being accumulated at low valuations. Again, we all have our favourites. TDC's time is not right. Hey, it may never be for all we know. If the members of this board have not at least doubled their net worth in the past year then it is time to re-think your strategy. Once again, I cashed out of most positions earlier this week except for the core. Right or wrong, one never goes broke taking a profit. Love those RRSPs.
IMHO,
Woody
NB: Since I started building back my position in TDC from scratch last fall I have not sold one share.
