By the way, I have been amazed at golds performance leading up to tomorrow's (11/23) option expiry day. In the past, the "cartel" or "shorts" or whoever always managed to slap the price down. Friday, however gold made an incredible comeback to close above $1150, and tonight it has already touched $1160. GATA is screaming commercial signal failure, tomorrow should be an interesting day.

I was looking for the same smackdown early today (Monday) but I'm hoping the sellers have finally got "religion" after their "spititual experience." Last month at the close someone bought those sold items and demanded physical delivery. It caused a serious scramble to fulfill the order. Last night the price went right up and has gone slightly higher since then. I suspect, if someone tries to sell this market down again, they better have the phsical metal; they will likely be called on to deliver. With that threat now a reality, those playing the short side of this market will have to be very cautious. The days of reckless abandon and short selling without end may have run their course in the bullion market. I would not want to sell to the Asian people something I did not have and could not get. They take actions like that very personally.
