As near as I can tell, the last time FB reported holding gold stocks was in his Sept 17 letter. His portfolio showed 12,500 shares of Tyhee at a purchase price of .48 (2007/2008 prior holds)

His Sept 20 (Sunday) letter said: sell and close out long positions on Monday

He next reported holdings on Oct. 4 with his summary showing: gold stocks = 0%

Since then his newsletter summaries continue to show: gold stocks = 0%

Any holdings shown in his newsletters since Sept 20 have been non-mining companies.

So it appears that, yes, FB sold his Tyhee in September, along with all other mining companies. He left the market. Not that he had much in the way of Tyhee shares.

However, he could have left his prior holdings intact and no longer reports them. What he was doing since last year's crash was keeping his prior holdings separate from recent holdings so that the prior losses would not hide recent gains. When he sold in Sept his recent holdings were ahead. His prior holdings were still horribly underwater. I had the sense that he was waiting for a market recovery to take action on his prior holdings. He could have sold sold everything. Or he could be keeping prior holdings in a drawer. If so, I doubt he will ever report on them again.
