I think it is a financial entity , research co.that wants to be on the mailing list to receive all info that is sent to shareholders, instead of going thru the hassle of talking to the company in question ,they simply buy one share and are on the mailing list,I remember a few years back some brokerage firm wanted info on a bunch of company's so that is what they did, it was interesting news at the time because there was lots of speculation on what was happening , as all these one share trades went thru. That's what I think.
