High volume often precedes large price movements

What to make of today's massive volume but low price movement? If history is any guide, we should see the stock take off over the next week.

The last time we had such huge volume and low price movement was back in late November. Volume was similar to today, i.e. nearly 10 X the daily average. Price only moved from 14 to 15.5 cents on that day.

See the green circle for what happened over the next week. If we follow a similar pattern, I would be looking for the share price to move into the new green circle I drew to the upper right. And very soon.

The rationale for such a move is that on these high volume but low price movement days, many shares are transferred from weak to strong hands. Then, as buying appetite remains robust but supply wanes, it takes only a smaller volume of transactions on subsequent days to cause the share price to explode.

Only time will tell if this happens again, but I like what I'm seeing so far.
