Geothermal is a non starter for tyhee. First of all, it's only in the 20's C one KM down, not hot enough for steam. It's warm enough with lots of electricity to provide heating for buildings.
When I tole DW about my own geothermal project in YK, and asked if geothermal is useful for Tyhee, he replied that they would use the most conventional and economical heat and power sources.
That makes me belive that innovations with wind, nuclear, geothermal or other neat ideas is not really appropriate for a simple, reliable, economic plan for Tyhee.
