Let's see if I remember approximately.

Ten to fifteen years ago there was and now still is (I doubt it will be coming apart) a European union.

About four to five years ago there was some serious talk about a North American union. They even have a name for its commen currency, the Amero.

More recently there has been talk of an Asian union. I haven't heard the name for its commn currency or have forgotten it if I did. I would propose the Asiago (pronounced like the cheese). It ryhmes with the Euro and Amero and is a practical name for describing a cheesey Asian currency. I prefer real money to any currency.

Once they get it down to three major unions (or maybe even before that) they can bring it all together. The smaller countries are pretty much meaningless and powerless. Perhaps this financial crisis (or wars that might occur because of it) will provide the "necessity" for this one world government they envision. It matters little. That is where this is all heading. And of course the politicians will be up front in the headlines and the bankers will be in the background. Some things never change.

However that won't last long. The why for that one involves things better discussed on a forum other than this board. But I think you know my feelings on this subject.

Misguided people feel they have power.

A very small amount of fissionable matter was turned into powerful destructive energy at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The fusion reaction going on in the stars like our sun is an immensely more powerful force. Stars exist in such quantity that it is doubtful that all of humanity that has ever existed from birth to death adding their efforts together could count the number of stars. If all this "matter" had been here for all time, then, according to the laws of thermodynamics it would all be the same temperature.

It's not. (think about that)

E=mc2 It takes a whole lot of energy to create all that matter without in any way measurably reducing the source of that power.

Mankind has no idea what real power is.
