(PRESS PROFILE TAB FOR FACT SHEET & UPDATES)
I use Scottrade. Yesterday in the middle of the day the symbol changed from TYHJF to TYHJF# and the avg. share price went to zero. All the other fields went blank. This happened both in the trading station and on the corporate website.
I knew something was up because a similar thing happened a few months back when Revett Minerals did a reverse split and changed their symbol designation from RVMIF to RVMID. I wasn't planning to sell any Tyhee so I was not upset and posted a brief description of my experience. I called Scottrade to see if they knew what the situation was. They did not and asked me if I wanted to speak with someone from their tech section. As I say I wasn't concerned so I did not pusue it. Seeing it was still trading today I started playing with it.
Just for fun, I tried to sell some with a price that was well above the market and received a message that the order was rejected because of blah blah blah, none of which described accurately the situation (like a "Windows" message).
Then I got to thinking that this whole situation probably was good news and put in an order for 10K shares and was very surprised when the system accepted it and purchased them for me. Last trade of the day on the TYHJF symbol.
Tonight when they process the paperwork they will probably either deny the sale or add it to the other shares held as TYHJF#. I doubt if I will be able to sell them until the news event clears. Something interesting is happening and I wanted a few more shares if I could get them.
