"the last estimated breakeven gold price ($950)"
In the pre-feasibility study the "average operating cost" for extracting an ounce of gold was $541. I believe that's what you mean by breakeven price?
$950 was used in the pre-feas to calculate the Net Present Value (NPV). I don't think this was very well expressed in the news release:
"A positive Preliminary Feasibility Study (at US$950 per ounce gold) has been completed and applications to construct and operate a 3,000 tonne per day mine and mill complex have been submitted to regulatory authorities."
As I read this I did a double-take on the $950 as it seems like they are talking about cost per ounce. They should probably have made it clearer and put the $541 figure in there somewhere.
