Message: mining gold in yellowknife

Thanks for the timely response Skelleg. Obviously the cold weather is part of life in Yellowknife and people embrace it and carry on with life as usual. The centrally located mill should be one of the keys to a cost effective feasibility plan and an all weather road will be required to accomodate the tonnage from a large property. On a side note i've been reading a book called "the super-cycle" about long term market trends and according to the author all boom-bust cylces in the 20th century are on average 17 years in length. History would confirm this assertion based on the facts. We are now in the 11th year of a bust cycle that began with the tech bubble bursting in 2000 and so we have another 5-10 years to go before things turn to the boom cycle. The good news is commodities are bullish during the bust cycle which bodes well for the 5-10 years ahead. These bust cycles always take the same form ie. the first year or so the markets crash followed by a rebound then many years of treading water with little or no growth and a real negative return when inflation is factored in. The final stage of the bust cycle will be when pessimism is everywhere, inflation is high and everyone is on the same side of the market. Only then will the cycle reverse and a new boom cycle will emerge at which point commodities will wither and fall out of favor. Hopefully our mine will be producing and our Tyhee share price will be commensurate with relative gold prices sometime in the next five years. Regards, Pat.
