(PRESS PROFILE TAB FOR FACT SHEET & UPDATES)
Years ago, I stuck with a "crossing the atlantic" type of metaphor for the good ship Tyhee. This year, going forward into 2012, I'm thinking more of a Greyhound bus. Maybe because of that post about not thorwing Baires under the bus.
Anyhow, here we are, 47 or so of us active TDC shareholders on this bus of a forum, chatting and arguing away. The windows are dark, as it is night outside. So even if we do try to look out the side windows, all we see are reflections of ourselves.
A few of us like to get up and stand, walking around with high visibility as we spout off what we think about what it will be like when we reach our destination. A few others sit in the back, and only pipe up to say things like: "We're going to crash! We're all going to die". And other helpful comments.
I have faith in the bus driver, that his job is to take us to the destination. We don't have a lot of fuel in the tank, but the bus is in excellent mechanical shape and we are on a well-constructed highyway. By not taking any appealring shortcuts, we will not risk any misadventures.
The time will come when, suddenly, we see "Welcome to Production Land". We'll all sit down and begin to look around and see what it really is like. The sun will be rising, and we will be able to see outside, no langer haunted by the ugly reflections we had been seeing in the window-mirrors.

PS. I just published another book, Homestay - A Japanese Girl's Romantic ESL Adventure in Vancouver. True, she does take a side trip from Edmonton up to Yellowknife, and has an encounter with some miners in a sushi restaurant. Yes, they are talking about a new gold mine... www.homestay-adventure-vancouver.blogspot.com So yes, another Tyhee plug in my books. At least I don't blow up the world like I did in Winter Kill - War With China Has Already Begun, but then again, who ever thought things between China and the US could ever go haywaire? Who ever thought the US currency could collapse, sending gold soaring? www.winterkill.blogspot.com See the link to "One of Gene's favorite gold juniors in Yellowknife.
Are any others here promoting Tyhee in any way?
